Damon braces are the market leaders of a system of fixed braces which have the benefit of being “self-ligating”. This means that they do not need elastics to tie the wires into the brackets. This will allow the teeth to move more easily than traditional braces reducing treatment times and needing fewer adjustments. In certain situations this system of fixed brace can offer advantages and certainly the ceramic (cosmetic) version provides one of the least visible fixed braces ever made.

The process: Damon System braces are fast, fixed cosmetic orthodontic braces using a low friction slide mechanism and very light titanium wires exerting lighter force on your teeth. Not only is this treatment more comfortable than traditional braces, but it also gives high quality results achieved in a shorter period of time. Overall, your treatment will be finished on average six months faster than with conventional braces.

‍Fitting: Damon braces are small clear brackets that are bonded onto the teeth. Each bracket has a slide mechanism to maintain arch wires within the bracket. This enables the arch wires to move more freely, reducing friction and allowing your teeth to move more comfortably. There is no need for elastics and no need for the braces to be tightened.

‍Wearing: Damon Clear braces are more discreet and resistant to staining and discoloration than the more traditional ‘train track’ braces. Without the elastic ties that can attract and collect plaque, they are easy to keep clean. With the tie-less high technology arch wires, they are clinically proven to move teeth fast and comfortably with quick and high quality results.
